Competitive Coaches
 

 

Erica

Erica is the Head Coach for the competitive stream. Erica started artistic swimming in the Sydney Emeralds, just like many of our swimmers today before moving to the Gold Coast Mermaids. After 4 years on the Australian National Artistic Swimming Team representing Australia at numerous world events, Erica has returned to Sydney to pass on everything she has learned.

 

Hannah

Hannah is a senior coach of our competitive program. Hannah grew up and trained in Singapore, representing the country internationally for 7 years before moving to Sydney, including winning Gold at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, and competing in the Asian Games and several World Championships. She began assistant coaching in Singapore clubs before taking on a bigger coaching role in Sydney Emeralds, whilst still training and competing.

 

Isabel

Isabel started swimming at Sydney Emeralds in the recreational program, before moving to competitive in 2021. She is grateful for the opportunity to pass on all that she has learnt to the younger swimmers in the sport that she loves.

 

 

Grace

Grace is a former competitive Emeralds swimmer and was part of Australian National Youth and Junior teams. Now she wants to share her passion for the sport with the younger athletes.

 

 

 

Recreational Coaches
 

 

 

Kaho

Kaho is the Head Coach for the recreational stream. She grew up and trained in Japan, competing in artistic swimming for 9 years before moving into coaching. After retiring as an athlete, Kaho spent 7 years coaching mainly recreational and beginner swimmers, helping young athletes build confidence and enjoy the sport.

In 2024, Kaho joined Sydney Emeralds as a recreational coach, supporting swimmers across the club’s development pathway. She is passionate about creating a positive environment where swimmers can develop strong fundamentals while having fun in the water.

Supporting the team above we also have Jess in competitive and Xaiden in recreational streams.  Everyone has a breath of knowledge to share with the athletes.
